Trip Overview

Mount Pumori is a prominent Himalayan peak rising to 7,161 meters (23,494 ft) in the Khumbu Region of northeastern Nepal. Located inside Sagarmatha National Park near the Nepal–Tibet border, the mountain lies just 8 km west of Mount Everest. Its name comes from the Sherpa language, meaning “Unmarried Daughter,” which has led to the popular nickname “Everest’s Daughter.”
The peak was first successfully summited in 1962 by German-Swiss climber Gerhard Lenser via the southeast ridge. Since then, Pumori has become a highly respected objective for experienced mountaineers, offering a demanding combination of steep snow faces, ice slopes, exposed ridges, and technical alpine climbing sections.

Detailed Itinerary

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our team will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a welcome briefing and introduction to the expedition team.

Today is dedicated to a detailed expedition briefing, equipment inspection, and permit formalities. You will meet your climbing guides and expedition staff to review safety procedures, climbing plans, and logistics for the journey ahead.

A scenic mountain flight takes you to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. From here, begin trekking along the Dudh Koshi Valley to the peaceful village of Phakding.

Continue trekking through pine forests and suspension bridges before entering Sagarmatha National Park. A steady climb leads to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant Sherpa capital of the Khumbu.

A crucial acclimatization day. Hike to the famous Everest View Hotel (3,800 m) for spectacular views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam before returning to Namche for overnight rest.

Trek along scenic ridges with outstanding Himalayan panoramas before descending to the Dudh Koshi River and climbing through rhododendron forests to Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery.

Descend through forests and cross the Imja Khola before gradually ascending into alpine terrain toward Dingboche, a picturesque Sherpa settlement surrounded by high peaks.

The trail climbs through rugged glacial terrain past memorial sites dedicated to climbers lost on Everest. Continue to Lobuche with magnificent views of surrounding Himalayan giants.

A rest and acclimatization day allowing your body to adjust to higher altitude. Short hikes around the area help improve acclimatization while preparing for higher elevations.

Trek along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp. This area offers dramatic views of the Khumbu Icefall and surrounding peaks.

During this period, the expedition focuses on acclimatization rotations, route preparation, and summit attempts.Climbers will be supported by experienced Sherpa guides, fixed ropes, high-altitude camps, and comprehensive safety protocols. Summit attempts depend on weather conditions and team acclimatization.

After completing the expedition, descend from base camp to Gorak Shep for a comfortable overnight stay at a lodge.

Retrace the trail via Lobuche and descend gradually to Dingboche, enjoying increasing oxygen levels and warmer temperatures.

Continue descending through alpine meadows and forests to Tengboche with stunning views of the Khumbu Himalaya.

Trek downhill through forests and cross suspension bridges before reaching Namche Bazaar for a well-deserved rest.

The final trekking day follows the Dudh Koshi River back to Lukla, where the expedition celebrates the successful completion of the journey.
